Rick was born on October 16, 1958 in Bluefield, West Virginia, and grew up in Richmond. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, son, brother, grandfather and friend who truly enjoyed life. A skilled and talented auto mechanic for many years, Rick worked hard to provide for his family and instill strong values. He took pride in coaching his children and other young athletes on various youth sports teams. A longtime Miami Dolphins fan, Rick enjoyed working in his garage, fishing, and spoiling his beloved dog, L.B. He loved spending time with his wife, children and family, but was especially proud of his role as "PawPaw" and having the opportunity to watch his grandchildren grow.
