A long-standing member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, Mr. McElwee served the congregation in many leadership roles and made numerous items, including the chancel furniture, for the congregation in his woodworking shop. He will be remembered by his friends and family as a patient, loyal and loving friend, father and husband who always did what was right and always put the needs of others before his own. Those of us who knew and loved him are better people because of his influence in our lives.
